Welcome to the Old Farts' Army

+ Whistle-Blowers Brigade

If you join the Old Farts' Army, you're breathing and care!

We're everywhere, every age.

Get "ofa" your couch and DO something!

We video kidnappings--masked black or paramilitary clothed people snatching passerbys.

We send those videos to news outlets, the police and neighborhood associations.

If you're also in the Whistle-Blowers' Brigade, blow your whistle, literally and figuratively, and pass out more whistles.

Good Advice

Bystander rights and what to do if filming ICE:

  • Record: You have a First Amendment right to film law enforcement, including ICE agents, in public spaces as long as you are not interfering physically with their actions.

  • Stay calm and don't interfere: Do not physically obstruct, argue with, or resist officers. Interfering with an arrest is a crime.

  • Stay present: Your presence can matter as a witness to document the event.

  • Provide support: You can offer emotional support to those being detained and remind them of their rights, such as the right to remain silent.

  • Know the risks: While filming is important, there are real risks involved, and recording alone is not likely to prevent an arrest from happening.

Would We Ever Have Known?

Without these phone videos, might these kidnappings ever be known?  Would due process ever be provided?
